Print quality: The text may be typed, not present in its entirety or clearly identifiable in one or more parts. Presence of considerable discoloration or blurring, even if not uniform. allowed the presence of spots of colour of any extension or entity. It can present a strong alteration of the colour shade also in its entirety.

Note for assigning half points (0.5):

The allocation of the points means, or half points, (0,5) occurs when, taking into consideration a single characteristic, one notices a minimum imperfection not admitted by the higher whole rating degree to which it could aspire, but less severe than the lower integer parameter. Only in the case of a card where a single characteristic (more rarely two) suggests an evaluation between two whole grades will half a degree be awarded. In example: “Examining the angles carefully you realize that 3 out of 4 are eligible for grade 9, and only the last one has a minimal nick, but visible to the naked eye (see definition of grade 8). The final degree of angles will be 8.5 as it is not fully classifiable to 9 but with a condition greater than 8.”

*Note on the “Variety”:

In this case, “varieties”, the particularities of which are classified separately (based on the percentage of excess of the margin) cannot be assessed as defects but as peculiarities or exceptionalities (as in the case of philately, numismatics and many other fields of collecting). This distinctive character of the card will be catalogued and reported on its online format.
